Your entire treatment plan is customized around getting you back to the activities you need to and love to do. Rehabilitation at Healing Motion is functional. You sit at a desk all day? Then we will give you ergonomic recommendations and help you with your sitting posture. You work on the farm? Then we will correct your mechanics and improve your strength so that you can bend over and lift without symptoms.
Physical therapists are the experts at treating and reducing muscle, bone, joint, and nerve pain and other symptoms that are limiting your ability to participate in day-to-day functions, work, and recreational activities. Each treatment plan is unique and individualized. We complete a thorough examination to identify the source of your symptoms and which of your impairments are contributing to your condition. Those impairments are then prioritized in order of their relevance to your activity limitations and participation restrictions.
We are extremely precise and thorough in our prescription of impairment-based stretching and strengthening. Therapeutic activities are interventions performed in functional positions like sitting or standing, or with functional movements like reaching, carrying, lifting, bending, squatting, jumping, or walking. We work from these positions and using these tasks to correct your range of motion, muscle recruitment, and strength. By restoring normal movement patterns, we are able to help you know what you need to do to prevent future recurrence of injury.
