
Dr. Ashlee Roderick, PT, DPT, OCS, CPT
Owner, Philomath Clinic Director, Physical Therapist
Dr. Roderick joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in June of 2015. She and her husband, Stephen, became owners of the company in June of 2019.
Ashlee grew up in Northern California. She graduated from Corban University Magna Cum Laude in 2011, where she majored in Health Science, Human Performance with an emphasis on Exercises Science, and minored in Biblical Studies. She played basketball on a scholarship for all four undergraduate years and was an Academic All-American and All-Conference player. Prior to her physical therapy training, Ashlee worked in various facilities, including the Corvallis Anytime Fitness and Fitness Over Fifty, as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).
Ashlee attended graduate school at Pacific University and graduated Doctor of Physical Therapy with distinction in May of 2015. She achieved her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification in 2018 and is pursuing additional specialty certification in orthopedics and manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, as well as Mulligan. Additionally, she is a primary investigator in “The Effectiveness of Astym® in Treating Plantar Fasciopathy: a feasibility study.” Ashlee enjoys treating athletes, specializing in pre-habilitation and return-to-sport. She is also very passionate about treating pelvic floor dysfunction and is one of the few local specialists. Ashlee feels privileged to serve this community and is grateful for the trust and confidence patients place in her and the Healing Motion staff as their preferred providers of physical therapy.
Outside of work, Ashlee loves to make memories with her husband and their two little ladies, Ellie and Addisyn, as well as their Golden Retriever, Ky. They spend their time together with friends and family, dabbling in real estate, running, playing basketball and disc golf, boating, and cheering on the Blazers, Red Sox, 49ers, and of course, the Beavs.

Dr. Dane Happeny, PT, DPT, OCS, CF-L1
Corvallis Clinic Operator, Physical Therapist
Dr. Happeny joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in December of 2019. He was working his own cash pay physical therapy business when he decided to team up with Healing Motion Philomath to expand into a second location in Corvallis.
Dane grew up in Medford, OR. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University in 2010. He then attended Chapman University, graduating as a Doctor of Physical Therapy with Academic Excellence in 2013.
Dane has been a physical therapist in Corvallis since 2013. He has completed additional Orthopedic Residency training and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS), CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1), and a certified Emergency Medical Responder. Dane has a passion for treating athletes, specializing in the shoulder for baseball and other overhead athletes. He works frequently with the Crescent Valley High School baseball team as well as other local high school sports teams, triathletes, CrossFitters, and strength and endurance athletes. Dane customizes individuals’ care toward their goals for recovery and educates them on how to surpass their goals and maintain a higher standard of health, wellness, and fitness.
In his free time, Dane enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracy, three children, Easton, Ellery, and Lawson, his extended family and friends, and rooting for the Beavers in any and all athletic events. He also enjoys community service, working on a never-ending list of household projects, strength and performance training, and anything outdoors including running, hiking, skiing, and competing in recreational sports.

Dr. Kersey Schuh, PT, DPT
Philomath Clinic Manager, Director of Clinical Education, Physical Therapist
Dr. Schuh, a Corvallis native, joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in the Summer of 2017.
Kersey graduated from Oregon State University Cum Laude in 2013, where she majored in General Science with a concentration on Pre-Physical Therapy. She attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for graduate school and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in May of 2017. Kersey is pursuing additional specialty certification in orthopedics and manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, as well as Mulligan. Her interests lie in throwing-related shoulder injuries, post-surgical knees and hips, and low back pain. Kersey is eager to build relationships with each of her patients and to help them live their best life.
Outside of work, Kersey enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her adorable puppy, reading, baking, and decorating cakes. She is also an avid Braves fan.

Dr. Andrew Halstead, PT, DPT, ATC
Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer
Dr. Halstead joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in June of 2019.
Andrew was born and raised in Newberg, OR. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Kinesiology in 2016. As a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Andrew has had the opportunity to rehabilitate athletes from a variety of sports and skill levels including OSU football, softball, and men’s soccer, as well as Corvallis High School athletes. Andrew attended graduate school at Pacific University and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy in May of 2019. Andrew enjoys treating individuals from all walks of life but has a particular passion for treating athletes.
When away from the clinic, Andrew enjoys staying active by running and playing soccer. He also enjoys working on cars, watching hockey, and cheering on the Beavs.

Dr. Abby Hendryx, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Hendryx joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in August of 2019.
Born and raised in Washington, Abby graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Biology in 2016. She attended graduate school at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy with honors in May of 2019. Abby has worked with patients of all ages and physical capabilities, though she has a particular interest in working with individuals managing chronic pain. She is passionate about forming relationships with her patients and empowering them to pursue healthy living.
Outside of work, Abby enjoys adventuring with her husband, Conner, who was born and raised in Oregon. Together they enjoy cheering on the Blazers and the Gonzaga Bulldogs, hiking, cooking, traveling, reading, running, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Melissa McNulty, PT, DPT, COMT
Physical Therapist
Dr. McNulty joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in December of 2019, after relocating from Alaska to Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Mel graduated with honors from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She later earned, with distinction, her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2011.
After graduate school, Mel returned home to Alaska and served the Matanuska Susitna Valley in the outpatient orthopedic setting for seven and a half years. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) and is also trained in basic Manual Lymphatic Drainage and fascial manipulation. In addition, she is skilled in both land-based and aquatic therapeutic exercise prescription and trained in the sensory motor control model emphasizing spinal and upper/lower quarter stabilization. Among her favorite patients to treat are the “silver seniors,” the quintessential weekend warrior, and anyone determined to become his/her best possible self. Mel considers it a privilege to practice physical therapy and strives to provide personalized and unparalleled care through hands-on treatment, education, and of course, healing motion.
Outside the clinic, Mel enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn, and radical rescue dog, Mason. She also enjoys time with her family, including local niece, Olivia, and nephew, Henry. Mel volunteers in Corvallis with OSU’s Multiple Sclerosis Exercise Program and assists with her family’s local B&B, MaMere’s Guesthouse, in Monmouth. She also loves football and is an avid “Sixburgh” Steelers’ fan.

Emma Bowman, SPT
Student of Physical Therapy
Emma is our third year Doctor of Physical Therapy Student who will be with Healing Motion Physical Therapy until mid-April.
Emma grew up on Southwest Michigan. She attended Trine University in Northeast Indiana where she was a member of the volleyball team and graduated Cum Laude in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-Physical Therapy concentration. Emma then went on to continue her schooling at Trine University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She will graduate in May of 2021.
In her free time, Emma enjoys trail running, hiking, cycling, playing with her dog and studying for her national licensure exam.
We are honored to have Emma with us for her final clinical rotation!

Tiara Stahlbaum
Office Manager
Tiara joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in August of 2018.
Tiara is originally from Oregon, but grew up moving around the United States and Europe. She studied Kinesiology at Oregon State University, graduating in 2018 with her Bachelor of Science. Tiara plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career in Business Management and Public Health Promotion.
In her free-time, Tiara enjoys hiking the beautiful PNW with her fiancé, Andrew, and Golden Retriever, Nora. She also enjoys equestrian dressage, cooking, and calligraphy.

Ann Miner
Front Office Administrator – Corvallis
Ann joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in November of 2020.
Ann grew up in rural northwestern Oregon and attended Multnomah University in Portland. She married her college sweetheart and they raised their three children in Lebanon. Ann is enthusiastic about serving others and has over 20 years of experience in an office management setting that she brings to Healing Motion.
Ann loves to travel and welcomes the opportunity to help her husband with overseas mission projects. She also enjoys home life and is happy with family, friends, and a good book close by.

Kyla Baternik
Billing Manager
Kyla joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in October of 2018.
Kyla grew up in the suburbs of Boston, MA. After high school, she moved to Ashland, OR where she graduated from Southern Oregon University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting. Before settling down in Oregon, Kyla lived in Salt Lake City, UT and Albuquerque, NM. She now resides in Philomath with her husband and son.
In her free time, Kyla enjoys spending time with her family hiking, running, reading, cooking, crocheting, and training her dog for agility competitions.

Robbie Cain
Physical Therapy Aide
Robbie joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in June of 2019.
Robbie was born in Washington but grew up most of his life in Colorado. His junior year of high school, he moved to Oregon and has lived here since. Robbie graduated Summer of 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State University. His goal is to become a physical therapist, applying for and attending graduate school in the next couple of years.
Whenever he is free, Robbie enjoys fitness, snowboarding, football, hunting, and finding new types of music to listen to.

Kylee Schelin
Physical Therapy Aide
Kylee joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in October of 2019.
Kylee was born into a Coast Guard family and moved around a lot as a child. She graduated from Oregon State University spring of 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology. She plans pursue a career as a physical therapist.
Kylee enjoys playing soccer, cuddling up with a good book or movie, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kylene Briggs
Physical Therapy Aide
Kylene joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in September of 2020.
Kylene grew up in Medford, Oregon. Kylene played volleyball for two years at Linn-Benton Community College then transferred to Oregon State University where she studied Kinesiology. She graduated from OSU in 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science. Kylene intends to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, and hopes to work in a rural community.
In her free-time, Kylene enjoys spending time on her grandparents ranch, coaching volleyball, playing sports, hiking, and paddle boarding.

Stephen Roderick
Owner, Accounts Receivable, Information Technology
Stephen purchased Healing Motion Physical Therapy with his wife, Ashlee, in June of 2019.
Stephen was born and raised in Corvallis, where he attended Santiam Christian through high school. He stayed local for college at Oregon State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2012. His day job is as an aviation software engineer for Garmin. He is also a pilot and a real estate investor.
In the little free time he has, you’ll most likely find Stephen with Ashlee and their two little ladies, Ellie and Addisyn. He also enjoys playing basketball and wakeboarding.
