We offer comprehensive pre- and post-operative rehabilitation services. Pre-operative physical therapy is designed to help you manage symptoms prior to surgery and, more importantly, drastically improve the outcomes following it. Additionally, it results in a significant reduction in the quantity of post-operative therapy visits necessary to achieve the same results.
Prior to surgery, our therapists will establish a baseline of your symptoms and impairments, including things like your range of motion, strength, overhead reaching, and gait. We can help you know what to expect going into surgery, be it about the procedure and post-operative precautions, or the way your symptoms and functional capacity will change in the days that follow.
Pre- and post-operatively, we individualize each treatment plan based on your needs and goals. We utilize skilled, hands-on techniques to reduce your pain and swelling and restore your mobility. We are extremely precise and thorough in our prescription of stretching and strengthening. By restoring normal movement patterns, we are able to help you know what you need to do to get back to your day-to-day functions, work, and recreational activities, as well as prevent future recurrence of injury.
