Pediatric physical therapists treat children under the age of 18, from infants to teenagers. They see children for a variety of different reasons, including developmental issues related to gross motor skills, fine motor skills, balance, as well as other neurologic or orthopedic conditions.
Our therapists will help decrease pain, improve function, and increase participation for the child using specialized treatment plans, which may include manual therapy. Therapists will also help educate and develop goals for, not only the child, but the family and caregivers as well. Pediatric physical therapy should be fun! Therapists engage children with appropriate age-related activities to hold their attention and motivate them.
