Dr. Melissa Oyen

Dr. Oyen is joining Healing Motion Physical Therapy in August 2026.

Mel graduated from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2019. She continued her education at Eastern Washington University in Spokane where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022.

Since beginning her career as a physical therapist in 2022, Mel has spent four years serving the Spokane community in the outpatient orthopedic setting before relocating to the Willamette Valley in the summer of 2026. She has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and has developed a special passion for working with adolescents and athletes of all ages.

Mel believes that successful rehabilitation starts with understanding each patient’s individual goals. She combines evidence-based treatment, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to create personalized care plans that restore function, build confidence, and help patients become “better than better.”

Outside of the clinic, Mel enjoys hiking, traveling, cheering on the Seattle Sounders, and spending time with her partner, Shay, and their dog, Ollie.
