
Dr. Eric Ahrns, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Ahrns joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in July of 2025.
Eric grew up moving throughout the United States and overseas, most recently moving to Oregon from Alaska. Eric graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2014. He then received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley University in 2017.
Eric has passion for working with aspiring athletes of all ages and abilities as he customizes treatment for each patient to progress towards more active and community connected lifestyles. Eric has experience working with children and families through patient and family coaching to build mobility skills for greater participation in family and community activities. Eric enjoys treating patients experiencing mobility limitations, particularly of the foot/ankle, as well as athletes such as cyclists, mountain bikers, and triathletes as he seeks to guide each patient to a higher level of fitness and performance. Additionally, Eric has a passion for clinical education to help mentor the next generation of physical therapists!
Outside of the clinic, Eric spends time with his wife and dog pursuing outdoor adventures. Eric and his family are avid mountain bikers in addition to enjoying paddle boarding, whitewater rafting, and disc golf. Eric also has a passion for cooking and break baking as he enjoys connecting with others through sharing a meal and good conversation.
