It’s not uncommon for people to be scared of Deadlifts. There is a misconception that Deadlifting requires you to always lift as much weight as possible from the floor. While one could work up to that if they train properly, really, a deadlift is just a hip hinge while holding and lifting any weight. This could be as light as a sock to as heavy as 50 lbs bag of concrete or whatever weight you put on a barbell at the gym.
